We celebrated with a nice dinner at Basta and a walk around the pentacrest. The sunset was lovely- made better because of the airborne particulate matter from the dump fire- romantic! Thanks to sarah for watching the kids!!!

Face painting
Lucy got her face painted for the first time at her friend Vidya's birthday party. It was very cool! However, 3 year olds are hard to photograph!
Mom in Miami
I went to Miami for a conference on adolescent medicine that was held at the famous Fontainebleau hotel. Instead of spending $270 a night (normally $570) I stayed down the beach a couple blocks at the best western. I am happy to report that the beach in front of the best western was equally as lovely as the Fontainebleau's. The first night I went to the American airlines arena to watch the Miami Heat take on the Bulls. Le bron was absolutely enormous and unstoppable. The next night I went to a famous Cuban restaurant called Versailles (no, not French!) for dinner. I forgot to take a picture of the meal but that would have been too touristy anyhow. In all I had a great time and Andrew and the kids scheduled all sorts of fun things and didn't even miss me.
